Nancy Wood, APR, Fellow PRSA, is the 2004 inductee into the Public Relations Society of America-Georgia Chapter's (PRSA/GA) Order of the Phoenix and the Georgia PRSA Hall of Fame. The Order of the Phoenix honors public relations professionals for outstanding careers and dedication to the chapter. Recipients are recognized for a longstanding reputation as a leader in the field, high standards of ethics, a history of personal commitment to serve the common good through community involvement, and at least 20 years of service to the profession and PRSA.

Since 1988, Wood has been the owner and principal of Communications Consultants, which serves several retainer and project clients in diverse industries. Prior to that, she served as media relations manager at Saint Joseph's Hospital and a public information coordinator for Oglethorpe Power Corporation. Sensing the need for help in matching corporate and nonprofit organizations with advertising, marketing and public relations agencies, Wood co-founded Agency ID in 2000 with Sherry Treco-Jones, APR, Fellow PRSA. Jennifer Grizzle, 2004 president of PRSA|GA, said, "Nancy's longstanding dedication both to our local PRSA chapter and to PRSA national makes her the ideal inductee into the Order of the Phoenix. She is an authentic leader in our profession."
