de Bie Heads West
Ascent Media Creative Services Group has appointed Britt de Bie to the position of vice president, commercial sales Ñ North America. De Bie previously served as managing director of the company's post-production facility R!OT Atlanta. She will report to Ascent Media Creative Services senior vice president of sales and marketing Bill Romeo.
In her new role, de Bie will help Ascent Media advertising clients tap into the broad range of services offered by companies in the Creative Services Group. The group includes post-production facilities located throughout the United States and Mexico, among them Company 3 (Santa Monica and New York), R!OT (Santa Monica, New York and Atlanta), Encore Hollywood, POP Sound (Santa Monica) and Rushes (Mexico City). De Bie's mission will be to coordinate sales, marketing and communications efforts of companies in the group and to promote collaboration among them. She will also support Ascent's virtual UP Satellite service, linking Creative Services Group companies in Santa Monica and New York to host sites located in cities nationwide.
De Bie joined R!OT Atlanta, then Editworks, in 1993. Following the company's purchase by Todd-AO in 1996, she was named managing director and continued in that role after it became part of Ascent Media's Creative Services Group in 2000 and was renamed R!OT Atlanta in 2003.
And as day follows the night R!OT, has promoted Buddy Hall and Chuck Brock as the facility's new management team. Hall will serve as managing director and Brock will serve as vice president, creative services. Hall will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and strategic planning while Brock will head new business development and chart the company's creative direction. Brock will also oversee R!OT Atlanta's current expansion, which will result in an increase in the facility's size by more than 50 percent and the addition of HD video and 5.1 audio post production services. Hall previously served as general manager, Brock as vice president.
Hall joined R!OT Atlanta (then Editworks) in 1996. An audio specialist, he originally came on board to launch the facility's audio post-production operations. He was promoted to general manager in 2003. A graduate of Georgia Southern University, he began his career with RKM Studios in Atlanta. Brock began his career as a broadcast designer, and later creative director, with Turner Studios, Atlanta. He joined Crawford Communications, Atlanta, in 1997 as general manager of its Crawford Digital unit. Two years later, he moved to R!OT Atlanta.
