Glass Eye Not Idle
Atlanta-based Glass Eye Projects recently completed production on a video promo for Cingular Wireless featuring American Idol's Ryan Seacrest. The piece promotes the wireless company's merchandising and service tie-ins with the hit TV show.
Shot in Burbank, CA, the comedic spot features Seacrest walking into a Cingular store looking for "new talent." Eventually, employees from stores all over the country are trying to impress him with their singing voices, all of which lead to "Simonizable" results.
This is not the first time Glass Eye Projects writer/director Mark Reitz has teamed up with Seacrest. Reitz wrote 12 episodes of Seacrest's first TV show, Reality Check, a nationally syndicated program produced in Atlanta.
In addition to shooting and editing the Cingular project, Glass Eye helped conceptualize and write the script with Cingular's West Coast MMS consumer marketing group.
