Oz Welcomes Two
Oz welcomes Farah Khan in the design and production department, and Brock Richards joins as an advertising sales rep.
Farah Khan is new in town, most recently in Savannah. She was born in Bahrain and then moved to Rochester, New York for her undergraduate degree in Economics and Political Science. After working in the field of IT Consulting for two and a half years, she decided to venture into the creative industry and consequently returned to college to obtain a Masters degree in Illustration. Currently, she is pursuing her MFA at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, and anticipates graduating in March 2006.
Khan is interning at Oz during her Spring Quarter, and has worked on various projects in the Production/Design department, including the design and layout of this issue of Oz and the ITVA-DC index. Khan loves to travel and apart from living in the Middle East, she has also visited India, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Nicaragua. At the moment, she is planning a trip to Sri Lanka in December, and looking forward to a career in art direction.
Brock Richards hails originally from Binghamton, NY. He graduated in December 2004 from the State University of New York College at Oneonta with a BA in Music Industry. While finishing college, Richards worked with ClearChannel in Binghamton, and also completed an internship with Overture Studios in Atlanta. Richards will be helping clients in Oz Magazine's Creative Index, Definition¨: The HiDef SourceBook, The North Carolina Production Directory, The Georgia Music Industry SourceBook, The Virginia Production Directory, and The Georgia Film & Video SourceBook.
