Digital Blue, a manufacturer of electronics and software for the teen and "tween" market, teamed with the nation's top radio stations to promote the new season of the country's number one TV show, "American Idol." DJs all over the nation came up with exciting and innovative promotions that allowed listeners to win their own Digital Blue American Idol Digital CamcorderÔ! In markets across the country from San Francisco to Philadelphia, listeners called in and serenaded DJs and audiences, creating impromptu American Idol auditions right on the air.
The American Idol Digital Camcorder lets users shoot and edit videos to appear as if they are contestants on the hit show. Users can become the stars as they sing their favorite tunes and create their very own home music videos, which can then be e-mailed to faraway friends and family.
