Morris Visitor Publications, the travel publication division of Morris Communications Co., LLC, has promoted Dan Uslan to the newly created position of senior vice president for sales, reporting to MVP president Mary Ellen "Mel" Ullrich. "Dan is an innovative thinker who has created best practices we believe will help take our local advertising sales division to the next level," Ullrich said. "I am confident that Dan will help grow our company in the United States and improve our presence in the communities we serve." Uslan will be responsible for advertising sales management of Morris Visitor Publications offices throughout the United States.

Previously, Uslan was regional vice president and spent five years as group publisher of Where Chicago magazine. Uslan joined Where International in 2000, four years before Morris acquired the magazine company. Prior to Where International, Uslan served as group publisher of Thomson Target Media, a division of the Thompson Newspapers. Uslan holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from the State University of New York and a fellow of McGill University's Bronfman School of Business in Montreal.
