New Crew at PRSA
The Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA|GA) recently announced its elected officers for calendar year 2006. Elected to the board are: President Ð Leslie P. Wagner, executive director, Peanut Advisory Board; President-elect Ð John Walker, senior vice president-corporate practice, Edelman Atlanta; Secretary Ð Mike Neumeier, APR, principal, Arketi Group; Treasurer Ð Renee Kopkowski, principal, Wonder Public Relations.
The Directors at Large for 2006 include: Gabrielle Braswell; Karen Haggerty; Kristi Ledford; Bari Love; Allyson Park; Mary Sorrel; Eleanor Smith, APR; Alicia Thompson; Lynne Unglo, and Judith Webb, APR.
The Assembly Delegates for 2006 include: Jason Anthoine, APR; Mark Dvorak, APR; Karla Harvill, APR; Tim Hussey, APR; Juliann Kaiser, APR; Bill Marks, APR; Gary McKillips, APR, Fellow PRSA, and Christine McManus, APR.
PRSA|GA, the second-largest local chapter in the national society, consists of more than 850 professionals throughout Georgia. Its mission is to enhance the profession, provide continuing education and offer networking opportunities for its members. The Chapter supports five PRSSA (student society) groups at these colleges: Clark Atlanta University, Georgia State University, Georgia Southern University, Kennesaw State University and University of Georgia. It also supports the Communications Career Academies at Cedar Grove, Columbia, Open Campus and Redan high schools in DeKalb County of suburban Atlanta.
