Peter Borowski is putting on a new pair of gloves as he enters a new ring. Past President of the Atlanta chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts and former VP, Creative Director for Clarion Marketing and Commun ications, Borowski’s new ring is Creative Circus where he dons the robes of Design Department Head.
Borowski fills the position of Rob Lawton, who retired this summer after over 30 years in academia, the last six spent at Creative Circus. Lawton’s career has included stints with Bozell in Minneapolis, as well as Dallas shops Tracy-Locke, Crume, A Pretty Good Shop and The Richards Group, where Lawton partnered with Stan Richards.
Borowski, a graduate of London’s Camberwell College of Art, is a member of the Allied Design Council’s Advisory Board and the Curriculum Advisory Board for the Art Institute of Atlanta. His collegiate career includes positions with both the Portfolio Center and the Atlanta College of Art.
At Clarion, Borowski was responsible for such high visibility projects as the UPS identity and branding for the 2000 Summer Olympic Games held in Sydney, work chosen for publication in the “Print 2001 Regional Design Annual.” Prior to heading Clarion’s creative department, Bo rowski was Senior Designer at EM2 Design and Design Seven.
