Sawyer Riley Compton’s (SRC) newest citation came via the Association of Business Media Companies. The agency won a Cre ative Excellence in Business Advertising (CEBA) Award for an ad created for CNN Newsource. One in a series of three ads, the campaign targets television news directors responsible for maintaining budget levels for news feed services and the news producers who develop daily newscasts. The message CNN wanted to get across was that news feeds supplied to stations provide captivating news coverage.

With SRC’s help during the past two years, CNN Newsource today enjoys 77 percent market share, supplying news to over 700 television affiliates throughout the country.

“The audience is a cynical group in a high-stress job,” said SRC Creative Director Bart Cleveland. “They respond to irony, and they appreciate CNN Newsource’s dedication to great news. When we developed and presented the idea for the campaign, it was an obvious home run.”

SRC beat out worthy competition in the single ad, spread category including Carmichael Lynch and Bozell Omaha.
