Magick Lantern hired Jennifer Borek as Post Production Manager. Taking the place of Amy Henderson, Borek will handle scheduling and overall operations for Magick. She comes from a position with Turner Studios where she was Post-Production Prod ucer working with Turner Broadcast ing divisions CNN, Turner Sports, TNT, Cartoon Network, and Turner South.

The Magick team just got a gift. The company just upgraded to a new AVID 100XL suite, featuring full resolution video as well as the lat est version 10.5 editing software from AVID. Magick’s Studio 750 recently played host to the Weather Channel and Craig Miller Productions for a high definition video shoot for a series of promotional spots. Artifact Design stopped by the studio to shoot background plates for a series of fashion spots for a regional mall. The team has also been working with Invesco on a show for the financial company’s annual meeting and with aerobic guru, Denise Austin on her show for Lifetime Television, filmed on location in the Bahamas.

Magick’s in house neighbor, Oasis Recording is putting final touches on a new audio mixing suite.
