Austin Kelley Advertising has been assigned marketing communications duties to promote the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. As part of the relationship, Austin Kelley will also be responsible for marketing the daily’s website. Billings are estimated at $1 million.
The agency’s assignment will be to brand the paper and its website as Atlantans’ primary communication vehicle and as their connection to the latest world, national and local news. “Although we have a well known brand, we plan to aggressively promote the paper and ajc.com, because we see major opportunities for future growth,” says Paula Rattray, Vice President, Strategic Marketing for the AJC.
Austin Kelley will create print, radio, and outdoor advertising. “With all that is happening in the world today, the newspaper is more important than ever, and we have a fascinating challenge in taking an established brand and marketing the importance of it to Atlantans,” says Mark Robinson, Austin Kelley Executive Creative Director.
The agency has also been award ed the Mannington Commercial account. Headquartered in Calhoun, Ga., the company supplies surface flooring products to contractors.
