After two years as President of WestWayne, Jeffrey L. Johnson, has been elected CEO by the agency’s board of directors. Under Johnson’s charge since 2000, West Wayne added $140 million in business. He assumes the title previously held by Ben West, who continues as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
“Jeff has the talent, credentials and personality to run this agency on a day-to-day basis,” West said. “His charisma is infectious, he understands the ad business and he’s just damn smart.”
Just prior to joining WestWayne, Johnson consulted with numerous companies on building and repositioning their brands including Sunbeam, Oster, Mr. Coffee and Coleman.
Previous agency experience includes a stint as Executive Vice President, Managing Partner, at Wells Rich Green BDDP, New York. While at Wells, Johnson brought in over $300 million in new business. Clients were Hertz, Chase Man hattan Bank, New York Stock Exchange, American General and Dun & Bradstreet. Johnson’s agency experience also includes positions with New York agencies, Scali, McCabe, Sloves; J. Walter Thomp son; and Benton & Bowles.
