The Atlanta Ad Club will host the 7th District Spring Convention for the club’s signature awards event, the ADDYs. The celebration, running April 11 - April 14, will hit high gear on April 12 at The Carter Center. ADDY winners from 29 ad clubs throughout Georgia, Tenn essee, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana will compete for recognition at this district level event. Winners will then head to the national level. The evening at the Carter Center will include a tour of the Carter library, a cocktail party, hors d’oeuvres and open bar during the entire event. Once again, the Ad Club will participate in Emory University’s adult continuing education series, “Evenings at Emory.” Designed to instruct ad professionals and non-ad professionals alike, the weekly courses sponsored by the Ad Club, will cover such topics as Radio and Print production, how to build an agency, how to build a career in advertising and how to do the best damage control you can do. What marks the series distinct is the “teachers” are ad professionals.
