BBDO’s Pauls Steps Up

BBDO Atlanta made Bill Pauls, former Senior Vice President/Group Creative Director, the agency’s new Executive Creative Director. The appointment follows Jim Noble’s resignation.

Pauls began his career at J. Walter Thompson, receiving national media acclaim for his work on Orkin Exterminating’s memorable commercial, featuring the very real looking cockroach crawling across screen. Pauls has worked with clients including Cingular Wireless, The United States Marine Corps, Nike, Maxfli, Kraft, Orkin, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Norfolk Southern, Sprint, Cox Communications, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and The Georgia Department of Tourism.

The agency is using the allure of Robert Frost’s oft-quoted concept of the “road less traveled” to position Panama as the choice for undecided vacationers. Through a print campaign for the Panama Tourism Bureau, BBDO Atlanta induces travelers to take the ‘Path Less Traveled.’ The campaign, which launched in January, continues this month with additional consumer focused print ads.
