Kilgannon McReynolds Weightless
Capitalizing on everyman’s desire to feel lighter, not only physically but mentally, Kilgannon McReynolds (KGR) created a winning campaign. The agency won a gold and three silver awards at the 2002 Summit Creative Awards competition, a competition which attracted nearly 3,000 entries from advertising and multimedia companies from 17 countries. Three awards went to KGR’s business-to-business ads created for LeasePlan, an international fleet leasing and services company. The gold came in the trade newspaper/magazine category for the agency’s “Weightless” campaign. Aimed at fleet managers, the prom ise of the “Weightless” campaign is that by handling all aspects of fleet management, LeasePlan can diminish the tasks these managers face daily. The ad depicts a female driving down a suburban road with a smile on her face and the wind blowing through her hair. The tagline reads, “What’s it like to feel weightless?”
