Jay Montgomery, illustrator for this issue's cover has known ever since he was able to pick up a crayon he wanted to be an artist. He is a native to Atlanta and a graduate of LaGrange College and Portfolio Center. For the past seven years he has been working out of his home/studio near Atlanta, GA as a freelance illustrator. Jay's extensive experience in illustration also allowed him to give back to the community by teaching illustration at Portfolio Center, and currently at the Atlanta College of Art. Jay was also the President of the Atlanta Chapter of the Graphic Artists Guild for 3 years and is still active. Either Lisa Cunard has the largest head at Kudzu or the hats are very small, because she wears more of them than anyone else.
