The house lights are down, the crowd is hushed, and the award for "Best Printer" goes to É. Maybe it wasn't all that dramatic, but Executive Printing, Inc. did receive a Merit Award for management excellence in the National Association for Printing Leadership's (NAPL) 2002 Management Plus Awards Program. Sponsored by NAPL, American Printer Magazine, Compass Capital Partners, and MAN Roland, the awards are based on a company's management performance as compared to professional and industry standards. Bill Woods, Executive's President, accepted the award. NAPL is a not for profit trade association representing the $86 billion commercial printing industry. Only 13 companies were chosen for Merit Awards from the industry firms that participated in the competition, which is open to all graphic arts organizations.
