Fashion and Politics at Fizz City

Fashion and politics kept Fizz City Films busy in their new home. Rich's returned to Fizz for another spot package lensed by Joe Piccirilo. Shot at the PC&E Stages, the commercials were produced with the help of the usual suspects: Production Manager Polly McKinney; Gaffer, Beau Williams; and Key Grip Scott Trimble. Comedy Director Bo Duke answered the call when Fitzgerald+Co. tapped Fizz City to produce an image campaign for the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau featuring appearances by recent Nobel Prize winner Jimmy Carter, recording artists Collective Soul and a host of Atlanta's crown jewels. And Fizz's own Executive Producer Mark Simon even joined the fun, photographing the spots, which hit the airwaves early this year. Simon and the Fitzgerald+Co. team also reunited almost immediately to complete a Gulf Power spot. Fizz City Films also found itself at the heart of several nationally monitored campaigns during the past political season. Veteran political consultant Tom Perdue and media guru Leyland Gregory enlisted director Michael Pietrobon to shoot high profile, image spots for candidates in North Carolina and Georgia including Saxby Chambliss. Pietrobon and the Fizz team filmed a variety of scenes throughout Georgia with then candidate Chambliss and others including President George W. Bush. The ever prolific Pietrobon also recently completed a documentary for The Weather Channel, a comedy pilot for Turner South and promotional programs for The Atlanta Beat women's soccer team. In other happenings, veteran humorist storyteller Bill Linsman has added some snap, crackle and pop to the Fizz directorial roster. Finally, cabin fever will become a bit more tolerable this winter as the company is anxiously awaiting the spring completion of its new digs at the Puritan Mill. The new facility will house Fizz directors, producers and editorial.
