The REV in the Fast Lane
Q1 was kind to The Rev, as the Atlanta interactive/design firm snagged a Telly award for their work with Porsche Cars North America. The honor, awarded in the "Direct Marketing For Non-Broadcast" category, was for a long format High Definition brand imaging and direct response video created by the Rev team for the carmaker's high performance driving school, Porsche Driving Experience. The piece will be used to generate awareness and response in various mediums including the Internet.
The 2 minute video was shot at Porsche's official Driving School location, Barber Motorsports Park near Birmingham, Alabama and was shot on High Definition by Director of Photography Bob Clark. LAB 601 Editor Jason Jones edited and color corrected the project in High Definition, while Andy Martin did the sound design and audio mix. The project captures the spirit of the Porsche Driving Experience with punctuation of engines roaring at the end of an inspired mix of point of views and musical choreography. Currently, the video is being used on the Internet and on location at the Porsche driving school. Future use includes interactive displays, television, trade shows, and dealer sampler DVDs.
