Creative Politics
Andrew E. Ballard has established Creative Politics, Inc., a multifaceted political consulting company. The company's birth date? Independence Day, of course. Creative Politics is comprised of individuals and companies from the political and the production communities and will focus on the production of political broadcast advertising for both TV and radio. Additionally, Creative Politics will provide campaign consulting, public relations services, lobbying, and special event planning to its clients.
Creative Politics has had a great start. Since July 4th, the company has coordinated the PR for the Atlanta premiere of Seabiscuit, coordinated VIP operations for Major League Baseball in Chicago at the All Star Game, and landed the contract to coordinate operations for the Women's World Cup games in Washington, DC this fall.
Ballard has been active in politics for over 15 years, an impressive career that began in 1988 when he worked at George Bush for President. Following the campaign and inauguration, Ballard served from 1989 - 1992 in the Bush Administration, and subsequently held appointed positions at the Department of Defense, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, and the Christopher Columbus Quincentenary Commission. He then took a position at the 1992 Republican National Convention in Houston, TX and then joined the Republican Party of Florida as a Regional Field Representative where he was responsible for 12 southeastern Florida counties during the 1992 presidential campaign.
From 1993 - 1998, Mr. Ballard was President of Andrew Ballard Enterprises, Inc. (ABE, Inc. ), a venture that involved him in the planning of a variety of high profile U.S. events, including the 1993 and 1997 Presidential Inaugurations; the 1993 World University Games in Buffalo, NY; the 1994 World Cup; the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA; the 1995 Visit of Pope John Paul II to the U.S.; and the 1997 G-8 Summit. ABE Inc. has also been involved in the planning of Super Bowl XXXV in Tampa for Fox Sports, the 2001 Presidential Inauguration; and the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, UT, for NBC. ABE, Inc.'s corporate clients included BMW Manufacturing, Land Rover North America, and Metro Networks. In 1998, Mr. Ballard became
Vice President of Sales and Marketing for LG Decorative Surfaces, and in 2002, he joined LAB 601 Digital Post as the Vice President of Sales. While at LAB 601 Ballard served as primary contact for new business development, headed the sales and marketing efforts of the company, and served as Production Coordinator for a national campaign of Travelocity.com ads for the Dallas based Richard's Group, and produced the video montage shown at Governor Sonny Perdue's Inauguration Ceremony.
Ballard's campaign experience includes full time staff positions on the 1988 Bush/Quayle campaign and the 1992 Bush/Quayle campaign, as well as limited involvement in the 1998 Jeb Bush for Governor, the 2000 Bush/Cheney, and 2002 Jeb Bush for Governor campaigns.
