Audio-Video Distributors (AVD) grows in Georgia, branching out from the company's Michigan roots to meet the needs of a blossoming Southern customer base. AVD is an authorized dealer for all formats of Sony, Maxell, Panasonic and Fuji professional video, audio and data storage media, CD-R and DVD-R equipment and storage drives, and will open an Atlanta office and stocking warehouse soon. "Atlanta is a natural expansion for us," says Daniel Kimmel, General Manager. "We've been shipping into Georgia for 18 years, and see this as a great opportunity to better serve our established customers in the Southeast, offering all the products available in our Michigan headquarters. " AVD Georgia's first on site team additions are Terri Fronius, recently of Grizzard Advertising, and Brandon Vince, an AVD Michigan transplant.

AVD has also been granted select status in the distribution of Sony's new Rough Cut product, an "advanced storage management solution" that offers storage and archive capabilities for non-linear video and audio editing. Sony IT developers began demonstration conferences during July in partnership with AVD, and plan to enter the Atlanta area in October.
