Synergy Films on the Move

Things were really moving at Synergy Films this summer, as the production company completed a project for The Leslie Agency and Bi-Lo Food Stores, and then relocated across town. As for the work, George Watkins directed the two day Bi-Lo shoot in Palmetto, GA at the Serenbe Bed and Breakfast Inn. Keith Sherer was the DP for the project and Stan Vaughan served as the Line Producer. With two glorious spring days that seemed to fit perfectly in between two solid weeks of torrential rain, the project went off without a hitch.

As for the moving, Synergy also relocated recently, vacating their long time digs at the Floataway building for swank new offices in the Proscenium high rise at 14th and Peachtree. "After our lease was up, we analyzed the situation, and realized that we were not aspiring to build a studio or set up post facilities. Today's digital office concept was a big factor is swaying us in this direction," says Watkins. "The move is really more about Synergy's evolution and where we are headed over the next three to five years. I'm back from LA with some new relationships in place and committed full time to Synergy's growth and success. This concept of a family business has been very well received by crew, vendors and clients alike. So, instead of downplaying that aspect of our business, we're trying to capitalize on it and broaden Synergy's legacy."
