Doppler Fights Temptation
Doppler Studios supports the hometown film crowd with involvement in the Atlanta shot release of Paramount Pictures' The Fighting Temptations, and also announces scores of other audio work. For the film, Doppler hosted Producer Loretha C. Jones in Studio E for pre-shoot music sessions for the film's soundtrack, with engineers Joe Neil, Ralph Cacciurri and Blake Eiseman also along for the ride. During the shoot, Neil and Sam's Tape Truck provided live recording services for on-set gospel music recordings, as did Shirley Caesar, Ann Nesby, Rosalie Washington and Blind Boys of Alabama. During post production, ADR's supervisor Robert Ulrich came to Studio A to supervise ADR. Several actors also came in to loop for the film, including Atlanta native Faith Evans. Gopal Swamy and Fuji Fujimoto engineered those sessions, with subsequent sessions engineered by Shawn Coleman, Fay Salvaras, Steve Schwartzberg, and John St. Denis. Additionally, Jones supervised a looping session with Cacciurri, Swamy and Neil via ISDN from The Hit Factory in Miami for music post production, recording additional vocals with Jordan, Nesby, Evans, and several other singers from the film.
On the advertising front, Doppler has also recently produced several notable campaigns. Engineer Granger Beem worked with J. Walter Thompson on a new national radio campaign for Orkin produced by Shaun Campbell. Ames Scullin O'Haire worked with Swamy on a new radio and TV project for Food Lion with Writer Steve Mick. The Mattress Firm worked with Salvaras on a new radio campaign, featuring original music by Jack Turner and produced by Sarah Cotton. And finally, BBDO Atlanta continued to tap Doppler to produce several national radio campaigns for flagship client Cingular Wireless.
