A High Achiever for 20 Years
Twenty years in a job you love can move fast. Or, in the case of PRSA GA veteran Denise Grant, it can help you move fast. Literally. As a part of the celebration of Grant's 20th year with the Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, Anne Booker and Neil Hirsch of Ford's Southeast Public Affairs Office loaned her a new Thunderbird.
Grant has been an integral part of PRSA GA and has overseen a variety of trend-setting accomplishments, including:
¥ Growth to become the third-largest Chapter in the country;
¥ Creation of an Affinity Program with vendors to benefit its members with discounts for goods & services;
¥ Establishment of the Chapter's Order of the Phoenix and The Order of the Phoenix/Georgia PRSA Hall of Fame, housed at the University of Georgia-Athens;
¥ Construction of one of the first web sites in the national society, and the recent expansion of that site into a cutting-edge destination;
¥ Coordination of the largest "college day" conference in the country, an event that attracts several hundred students from more than 40 colleges and universities to Atlanta from as far away as Michigan, Indiana and New York; and
¥ Daily service to the current year's president, and to the largest board (15 members) and volunteer organization (70 committee heads and workers) in the national society.
To recognize Grant's contribution to the Chapter, 20 of the past Chapter
presidents hosted her at a celebratory dinner at Roy's in Buckhead, and presented her with a Tiffany vase in appreciation of her years with PRSA GA.
