Jackson Murphy Hits the Festival Circuit
Designer Jackson Murphy expands his horizons this fall with a foray into film, and gains Georgia film festival recognition in the process. Over the past year, Murphy, along with partners Heather Murphy and Matt Ruggles, aka "One More Time Productions," have produced a few major projects, including Q-Pid, chosen as a finalist in the 2003 48 Hour Film Project. The short also competed in the 27th Annual Atlanta Film Festival in June of this year. Also on the team's roster is Emily, an Amelie-esque comedy about a young Georgia girl.
So, what's next for the dynamic trio? More festivals. Q-Pid was selected to participate in the Downstream Film Festival in Decatur, and the team has their sights set next on the National Film Challenge, a 48 Hour Film Project clone that takes place this fall.
