Plan B's Alpha & Omega
Clay Walker of Plan B Productions recently completed editing Kenneth Jones' dramatic featurette "Alpha & Omega." This period piece was shot in early August in the north Florida area over five days and in twelve different locations. Based on a true story, the film stars John Black as Dr. Alpha Omega Campbell, a renowned African-American doctor who, in the 1950's, was falsely imprisoned for the death of an ailing Caucasian woman whose life he was trying to save. The filmmakers completed post production on "Alpha & Omega" in early September at Plan B Productions' midtown facility in time to make the submission deadline for the 2004 Sundance Film Festival. This project marks the second time that Jones & Walker have collaborated together. Walker also edited Jones 1997 theatrically released and nationally broadcast feature film "Love & Fate."
The midtown based firm also recently completed two 35 mm. commercial spots for Liberty National Insurance of Birmingham. Photographed by Walker at Arington Hendley's photography studio, one spot announces Liberty NationalÔs
"Child Safe I.D. Kit," a free kit designed to help parents in the event that their children should ever become missing. The second, titled "10 pounds overweight," digs into America's obesity epidemic. The two new spots were co-directed by Harris Milligan & Clay Walker, and were produced & written by Bob Richardson. Milligan and Richardson served as Creative Directors on the project, Coy Berry art directed, Clay Walker served as Director of Photography, Benjamin Greer was assistant camera, Mitchell Sargent handled lighting, Arington Hendley, photography, John Kelly was the grip, and Brian White served as Production Assistant.
Also on the Plan B Plate is a recently completed spot promoting Tito Puente Jr.'s December 20, 2003 show at the DeKalb Atlanta Center. The spot was produced and edited by Carla Delgado Grippa.
