The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) presented Duffey Communications with an unprecedented 14 Phoenix Awards for industry excellence at its annual ceremony of the Georgia Chapter in November, 2003, including a Public Service Award for the Cobb County Marietta Water Authority's waterSmart program; a grassroots advocacy campaign for the Georgia Coalition for Civil Justice; an Institutional Program Award for Mask 2002 - Chicago on behalf of Billian Publishing; and an award for outstanding creative tactics, which were part of a public relations program for the People First Book Drive for Sigma-Tau Pharmaceuticals. Duffey also received numerous awards for writing from the PRSA, including honors for a press kit and brochure for Sigma-Tau; an op-ed piece and news release for the Georgia Coalition; a news release directed at the dialysis community for Sigma-Tau; articles written on behalf of Air Quality Sciences, the University of Phoenix Digital Envoy and for the firm itself; as well as for a web site developed for waterSmart.
