Turner Classic Movies (TCM) has teamed up with Guillotine Post to create a new style of movie intros called "Party Politics and the Movies". The series features prominent political figures including vice-presidential candidate U.S. Senator John Edwards (D-NC) and senators John McCain (R-AZ), Joe Biden (D-DE) and Orrin Hatch (R-UT), who have personally selected films for each evening.

TCM host and radio personality Ben Mankiewicz interviews the senators and discusses how these films have affected their lives in one way or another. Director Shannon Davis and producers Charlie Coates and Wayne Johnson chose Guillotine's Senior Editor Michael Koepenick to help create both the programs and promos for the new series. The 4 part series airs each Thursday night prior to Election Day.
