HAYSLETT BLOWS OUT TEN

Hayslett Group LLC marked its 10th anniversary this October, celebrating a decade of providing wide-ranging services to an equally broad range of clients.

"It's been a great ride so far," said company CEO and founder Charles Hayslett. "In our first decade we've helped clients grow sales and revenue, launch and ultimately sell new businesses, pass state legislation and secure state funding, cope with more crises than I can remember, and literally save lives."

While "saving lives" might sound a little dramatic for a public relations firm, it also happens to be apt. Several years ago, Hayslett group developed and managed a Work Zone Safety program for the Georgia Department of Transportation that helped produce a near- 60-percent reduction in work zone fatalities and accidents. The Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America selected the campaign as the state's top PR program of the year, and it won several national awards as well.

"That was very rewarding," said Hayslett. "It's the best example I can cite of a communications campaign that by any standard literally saved lives. I figure if we can do that, we can do just about anything."

Hayslett says the firm still remains committed to core principles articulated when the firm opened for business in October 1994 - namely, providing its clients with hands-on support by seasoned, senior-level counselors.

"We've been very fortunate to attract and keep very talented communications practitioners, and because of them to be able to attract and hold great clients," said Hayslett.

"I am greatly appreciative to our team and our clients."

Here's hoping for ten more years.
