Oasis Recording has recently completed audio editing and mixing for the upcoming Georgia Public Broadcasting documentary "The Fabulous Fox." The film celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Fox Theater and focuses on the history of the Fox, from its beginning as a Shriner's Temple in 1929 to its near demolition in the seventies, and its current status as a local entertainment icon. "This was a wonderful project," said owner and sound designer Bob Gillespie of Oasis. "I think it will be fascinating for anyone who is interested in Atlanta's history and the city's battles to preserve its landmarks. I really enjoyed working with Carol Fisk at GPB to bring this together." "The Fabulous Fox" will premiere on Wednesday, December 1 on GPB's nine public television stations across Georgia, including Atlanta's Channel 8, just in time for the Fox's 75th anniversary on Christmas Day.
