Hayslett Group LLC was honored with four awards at the International Association of Business Communicators' (IABC) annual Atlanta awards gala, held at the Fox Theatre's Egyptian Ballroom. Hayslett Group earned a Golden Flame, a Silver Flame and two Bronze Flames. Sponsored by the Atlanta Chapter of IABC, the Golden Flame Awards recognize local professionals, corporations and agencies for excellence in communications in a variety of categories including print media, electronic media, graphic communications and media relations. Out-of-state IABC chapters judged all entries.

Hayslett Group won awards for its work with Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals, Atlanta Public Schools and DeKalb Medical Center as well as for the redesign of its own logo. The awards won by Hayslett Group included: Writing - Feature Writing Golden Flame: GACH Op-Ed Column, President Monty M. Veazey; Writing - Speech Writing Silver Flame: APS "State of the System" Speech, Superintendent Beverly L. Hall; Special Events - Special Event Individual Pieces Bronze Flame: DeKalb Medical Center at Hillandale Foundation Pouring Invitation; and Graphic Design – Logo Bronze Flame: Hayslett Group logo.

Hayslett also earned two Phoenix Awards and a Certificate of Excellence at the Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America's annual awards celebration, held at the new InterContinental Hotel in Buckhead. 2004 marked the 20th anniversary of the awards. Sponsored by the Georgia Chapter of PRSA, the Phoenix Awards recognize projects and programs that demonstrate excellence in the public relations profession in Georgia. Hayslett Group won awards for its work with the Atlanta Public Schools and the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals, including: Phoenix Award: Op-Ed Column, APS Superintendent Beverly L. Hall; Certificate of Excellence: Op-Ed Column, GACH President Monty M. Veazey; and Phoenix Award: "State of the System" Speech, APS Superintendent Beverly L Hall.

Also making Hayslett news is the passing of the company's 10th anniversary in October.
