Guillotine Post is swamped. "Lately we've been hit with
several large projects that just keep going and going with never ending changes, " says Guillotine Post Operations Manager Scott Stevens. "Because the schedule gets so chaotic, there's just no way to keep the same editors on the same projects for every
session and we've found that
augmenting our staff with a
regular freelance team is a
powerful and effective
combination."
Blue Marble Media Creative Director Ben Barineau returned to Guillotine to help create a wide
screen video presentation for the main lobby at CheckFree Headquarters. "They wanted an
image video that was visually beyond anything they'd ever done before." Says Senior Editor Michael Koepenick, "It turned into the 'Mother of all Videos' using all 24 layers and it's the most
complex piece we've done
to date." Ace freelancer Michael Tew started this epic 3 month project in Avid Adrenaline then tagged staffer Christo Harris, who tagged freelancer Scott Franklin
who then tagged Koepenick to finish the project in AVID Symphony.
P.J. Neely (another regular freelancer) found time between
her Turner South sessions at Guillotine to cut a set of movie promos for John Grisham's "A Time To Kill, " with producer Tim Reilly for TNT. She then tagged Koepenick to finish the project in the Symphony.
Duke and Associates produced 6 videos for the Arthur M. Blank Foundation that kept freelance editors Tim Parks and Scott Franklin busy as well as the staff at Guillotine. Created expressly for
viewing at the Blank Foundation's new headquarters, the videos outline the non-profit organization's involvement in various environmental, educational and
community related efforts.
