Fellow cinematographers, colorists, telecine operators and engineers voted VTA's John Yancey Colorist of the Year at the 2005 NAB conference in Las Vegas. "John Yancey has been with us at VTA since 1988, and has always been considered one of the top colorists in the Southeast, if not the nation," says VTA owner Ken Chambliss. "His clients range from New York to Miami to Chicago. They trust him, and the business has become so virtual, it is easy to view the session from anywhere."

In 2001, VTA acquired the Millennium Machine for John's suite. "There is almost nothing we can't do in this suite . . . anything from standard to HiDef, with a 2K DaVinci with 3 power windows and defocus. Better still, we can stream the session to anyone, anywhere via the Web," Yancey explains.
