communications 21, inc. (c21), recently welcomed Jenn Kauffman and Marlena Reed as the latest additions to the agency team. Kauffman joins communications 21 as an account manager and will serve as the lead for clients including Hands On Network, Shapiro Fussell, EDI, Ltd., and the Dairy Council Mid East. Kauffman's responsibilities as account manager include media relations, event planning, e-mail marketing, and Web site management. She brings a diverse blend of public relations, public affairs and online technical expertise to her new role at c21. She has worked on various national and local political campaigns, and most notably managed the Web content for Al Gore's 2000 presidential run while serving as deputy director of Internet operations for the campaign. Kauffman later joined the public affairs firm Winner & Associates in Washington, D.C., where she worked with various geological and trade clients and assisted them in communicating strategic messages to targeted communities.
Prior to joining the agency, Kauffman completed an internship with communications 21. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor of arts in journalism degree in public relations.
Reed, who has nearly 10 years of marketing public relations experience, joins c21 as a senior account manager after several years with the American Cancer Society, where she gained invaluable expertise in internal and external marketing and communications for the multi-million dollar nonprofit organization.
She will serve as the lead for clients including Alvarex & Maral, Entertainment Publishing, Inc., IN ZONE Brands and nFocus Realty. Her responsibilities include strategic marketing development, media relations, event planning and e-marketing. A certified yoga instructor, Reed earned a bachelor of arts degree in communication from Arizona State University.
