It's official! MATCH, Inc. has hired veteran Copywriter Kevin McKelvey and award winning Designer Michael Howell. Hauling a wealth of experience to MATCH, McKelvey has worked with heavyweight clients like Coca-Cola, BellSouth, ESPN, Georgia-Pacific, and United Marine, as well as MATCH clients Quincy's Family Steakhouse and Creative Loafing. Before building a strong freelance business in Atlanta, McKelvey served as Editor of Special Issues for the Hollywood Reporterin Los Angeles. Kevin holds a B.A. in Economics and Medieval History from Emory University and a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Georgia. He also is a graduate of the Portfolio Center and teaches copywriting at the Creative Circus.
Howell joins MATCH as Design Director. He came to MATCH from Chicago, where he was Graphics Manager for Sportmart, Inc., a chain of sports equipment superstores recently acquired by Gart Sports. There he was responsible for all in-store visual, point of purchase support, and creativity for all specialty marketing and public relations. Howell worked closely with Sportmart's Women's Advisory Committee, which included Olympic gold medalists Janet Evans, Mia Hamm, and Dot Richardson. Nike, Reebok, the NBA, and the NFL granted kudos to Howell for his in-store displays and graphics. Howell worked as a Senior Designer for B.A. Albert, President and Creative Director, and Elizabeth Baskin, CEO and Creative Director, at Atlanta's Morrison Agency before moving to Chicago. He also worked at Fitzgerald and Company and Tausche Martin Lonsdorf.
