Etch-Me-Films recently ended production on "The Initiate," a crime drama set in a fictitious rural town south of Atlanta. The tale features a small town deputy sheriff involved in a love triangle, his solution of a mysterious death, and his unexpected discovery of evil. The independent Georgia based cast and crew worked for a month in the historic and park district of Columbus, as well as in Hamilton, Conyers, Senoia, Candler Park, and Metro Atlanta. Stage work was also filmed at Riverwood Studios and Special Projects. Writer/Director Chad Etchison put together an impressive cast of local talent including Mack Murrah, who plays Jack, a deputy sheriff faced with the death of a high school buddy (Andy Hamrick) and Kenny Alfonso, Jack's partner. Mary Johnston Etchison, Shannon Perry-Young, and Chad Etchison also play important roles in the mysterious crime drama. The cast also includes Steve Coulter, Philip Devona, James McCraken, and Matthew Brady.
