Graphic Havoc Covers Schoolbooks Graphic Havoc Covers Schoolbooks Graphic Havoc completed a schoolbook cover to be given away by Coca-Cola in urban high schools across the country. The project originated in Atlanta when Burrell Communications Group approached Graphic Havoc to submit designs for the cover, based on the design firm's obvious commitment to and knowledge of inner city trends and culture. The book cover art contains hand drawn elements, a scanned Coke bottle, manipulated logos, original typefaces, and people/product photography by Naugle Photographics. The designers came up with an original metaphor to represent urban high school students as a community and culture. Therefore, the campaign became less an advertisement and more a pictorial representation of a lifestyle. With graffiti and street signs, the montage becomes an encapsulated peek into the true personality of inner city life.
