Spin Launches Lunatics Spin Launches Lunatics
Jesse Newman, Digital Artist, Spin Productions
Spin Productions and Cartoon Network created a spot introducing fifty cartoon characters in less that twenty seconds. Steven Patrick of Cartoon Network wrote an increasingly manic be-bop style jingle introducing the characters. Cartoon Network's Jennifer Davidson approached Spin to create the visual design. Spin's Keith Adams led the project, explaining that everyone became a kid again, reflecting the personality of the network to create a suitable design. Inferno created a layered 3-D look that presented the cartoon figures in a true dimensional setting. Lights and depth-of-field camera effects gave the characters new looks.

Jesse Newman will launch a new creative venture at Spin, working with Inferno and After Effects and using his design talent. Newman earned a B.F.A. in Digital Imagemaking at the University of Notre Dame and worked as a Digital Effects Artist at Computer Cafe in California. Most recently, he contributed to Disney's "Flubber" and "Armageddon," BBDO's Doritos, and WBZL Miami's station identification package. Spin's Senior Inferno Artist, Keith Adams, and Senior Fire Editor, Kurt Oakley, look forward to working closely with Newman. Newman will drive After Effects on a Macintosh G3 platform and will work with Spin's Inferno and Fire software on the Silicon Graphic's Onyx II.
