Guillotine Moves A Head Guillotine Moves A Head Guillotine Post Design expanded operations, adding a third Avid suite as well as D-2 and Digital Beta formats. Owner and Editor Michael Koepenick believes these additions will allow Guillotine to better serve their agency and Turner clients. Projects in the new suite include Mercedes-Benz for Caribiner International, Federal Express for Jack Morton Productions Chicago, and Geac Software for Blue Marble Media.
Guillotine has also been honored with several recent awards. Gold Cindy Awards were earned for The Athlete's Foot and Federal Home Loan Bank, working with Blue Marble Media. A recent fundraiser for the Georgia Conservancy won both a Silver Cindy and a Gold ITVA Award. The original soundtrack features the instrumental music of Chief Seattle, whose members include Guillotine regulars Michael Koepenick, Keli Mercadante, Fred Duffer, Paul Bonesteel, and Bob Maxfield. A screening of "EarthLinks," an original animated short featuring children's artwork from throughout the world was held at the Atlanta Film and Video Festival.
Summer projects scheduled at Guillotine include an animated piece for resident artist, Mark Allen Henderson, and a one hour documentary "What's the Buzz!" on the making of "Jesus Christ Superstar-A Resurrection." This remake of the 70's classic featured area sensations Indigo Girls, Big Fish Ensemble, Five-Eight, Smoke, Kelly Hogan, and countless others from the Atlanta and Athens area.
The recent formation of Guillotine Music, an eclectic independent record label, expands the scope of Guillotine's services. The debut release, Wild West Picture Show, received positive reviews. Utilizing connections in the Atlanta and Athens, Guillotine Music is developing an extensive library, aiming to provide a diverse collection of music for broadcast video, film, Internet, and multimedia.
