DETV Brings JumboTron to Atlanta DETV Brings JumboTron to Atlanta Diversity Entertainment Television (DETV/Atlanta), an outdoor large screen video display (LSVD) operation has signed a lease with Underground Atlanta to erect a JumboTron® at Peachtree Fountain Plaza. Designed for large public audiences, DETV's full service studio and manned control center will deliver a wide variety of family friendly programming with news, sports, weather, public service announcements, cultural celebrations, music videos, movie trailers, convention and tourism attractions, civic pep rallies, and major entertainment events. The 20' x 26' broadcast quality LSVD will reach approximately 85,000 daily viewers, with monthly estimates topping two million. Tyrone Johnson, President and General Manager of Diversity Entertainment Television/Atlanta, has been working long hours, and he is excited about helping Downtown Atlanta develop a lively business, sports, and entertainment district.

ABC affiliate WSB-TV, Atlanta's top rated news station, is joining forces with DETV to provide local news, sports, weather, and community affairs programming. DETV will broadcast segments provided by WSB-TV throughout the day, featuring extended local news coverage in the evenings. CNN licensed DETV/Atlanta to broadcast national and international news, sports, lifestyle, financial, and other feature segments on a daily basis through the CNN Headline News Network. Georgia Public Television (GPTV) will make their video library available to enhance DETV's on-air presentation. The audio track will be available via closed-captioning or as a low-frequency FM radio signal. During special events, audio will be amplified through a high quality sound system.
