The third annual Achievement in Radio (A.I.R) Awards, a friendly competition that awards excellence in broadcasting among Atlanta's radio stations, will take place on Monday, November 9, 1998 at the Ritz-Carlton Buckhead. Jeff Foxworthy, nationally known comic and Atlanta native, will serve as emcee for the event, which benefits the March of Dimes Campaign for Healthier Babies. The A.I.R. Awards recognize nominees in more than 22 categories, including news, public service, promotions, talent, advertising, and sports coverage. Mark Kanov, General Manager of WSTR-FM; Gary Lewis, General Manager of WZGC-FM; and Marv Nyren, General Manager of WFOX-FM, are Co-Chairpersons for the event.
