Duffey Doings Duffey Doings Duffey Communications was honored by both Inside PR magazine's Creativity in Public Affairs Awards (CIPRA) and the American Marketing Association's AMY Awards. Duffey received a Certificate of Excellence from the national CIPRA Awards competition for the "Now We're Smokin'" campaign for Navision Software Worldwide. Playing off the current popularity of cigars, Duffey designed a cigar media kit. Duffey earned the two AMY Silver Flame honors for the Navision campaign and Kroger Food Store's "Kroger Day at the Capitol" campaign. For the Kroger project, Duffey secured the location and dates for Kroger to have a booth and host lunches during a Georgia legislative session, giving Kroger an opportunity to strengthen its presence at the Capital and its relationship with key state legislators.
Duffey also added four members to its staff; Emily Johnson, Matthew Wright, Sara Shoemaker, and Faith Helbing. Johnson serves as an Account Executive for Duffey's clients in the entertainment, travel/hospitality, and consumer product areas. Johnson comes from WestWayne, Inc., where she worked on the National Automotive Parts Association (NAPA) account. At Duffey, Johnson focuses on media relations, special event planning, and community relations for clients such as Kroger, Château Élan, and GwinnettPlace Mall.
Wright also serves as an Account Executive, working in the business-to-business and high technology areas. Wright previously worked as a research manager with Naylor Publications in Gainesville, FL where he established and directed a college internship program in cooperation with the University of Florida.
Shoemaker joined Duffey as an Account Associate in the technology and corporate services areas, servicing clients such as Navision Software Worldwide and Brokat. Shoemaker previously built a marketing department for Access Systems Inc., a software consulting firm and reseller, where she planned and executed a media relations campaign for ASI's computer recycling program.
Helbing serves as an Account Associate in the business-to-business, education, and legal service areas. Prior to joining Duffey, she was a Project Assistant at The Headline Group. Helbing also worked as Communications Assistant at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. At Duffey, Helbing assists on such accounts as American Intercontinental University and American Medical Response.
Duffey also welcomes four interns to its staff. Kris Augustine, Holly Humphrey, Christine Perez, and Lauren Hammann were accepted into Duffey's extensive 12-week internship program.
