Learn how to hide behind a tree in The Cartoon Network's "Cartoon Crisis Center."
Bair Tracks has worked on a number of award winning television spots this year. The Cartoon Network image campaign called, "Cartoon Crisis Center" received a number of awards, including a Gold and Silver Pencil at the One Show, in New York, an Advertising Age Best award, 8 Promax awards (including a Gold), and two Clios. These spots feature hilarious live action footage of the day-to-day problem solving, which goes on at the imaginary "Cartoon Crisis Center". Cartoon characters such as Sylvester The Cat, Daffy Duck, and Bugs Bunny call to ask for assistance with situations like running off a ledge, disappearing behind a tree, or instantly producing a giant mallet from behind the back. The typical cartoon solutions to these problems defy physical laws, and the staff at the "Crisis Center" work diligently to elicit proper cartoon solutions for these situations.

Bair Tracks worked through an ISDN patch with Hanna-Barbara approved voice over talent to record the cartoon characters on the telephone. Once the dialogue was edited and evened out, Bair created a reality based sound effects layer to represent the sound of the Crisis Center in operation, using a combination of Foley and altered library effects to create the sound of the on screen action. Bair Track's Joe Boyd Vigil created new musical cues where a contemporary sound was needed.

Spots by TNT, which were posted by Bair Tracks, also won industry awards. TNT won a Promax Silver Award, "TV Announcement- Episodic", for spots promoting the TNT original movie "Buffalo Soldiers," starring Danny Glover. Original music with bold orchestration coupled with mournful chanting heightened the drama. Since the promo was cut from dailies using only production sound, bringing the dialogue and sound effects up to a cinematic scale was a challenge. Through using the on board DSP and automation capabilities of Pro Tools, coupled with custom sound effects and foley, a huge sound was achieved.
