United Consulting is a multi-discipline engineering and technology firm specializing in the earth sciences, environmental sciences, evaluations, and testing services. point b will asses United Consulting's current marketing position and offer refined strategies and tactics to accomplish the firm's established objectives.

Simmons Company is one of the leading manufacturers of mattresses in the United States. The company has selected point b to develop and launch a physician influencer program for its BackCare Ultimate mattress. The core of the program is Simmons' BackHealth custom publication which point b developed for the company in 1997. point b will also handle the public relations surrounding the program launch and subsequent program support. point b is also developing a national consumer loyalty program for the BackCare mattress. The program targets current BackCare users and utilizes a custom publication offering valuable back care information.

Neenah Papers is a leading manufacturer of premium writing, text, and cover pages. point b is charged with concepting and designing a comprehensive distributor and customer service awareness and loyalty campaign.

point b was also recently honored with an Award of Merit from the Printing Industry of the South (PIAS) for its work for Chase Merchant Services, a division of First Data Corporation and Chase Manhattan Bank. The association presented the awards for Modern Money, a quarterly four page publication concepted, written, and designed by point b. The award, part of PIAS's Graphic Arts Award Competition, is based on print quality and technical expertise. point b and Chase Merchant Services have worked together since 1997, in an aggressive marketing campaign aimed at providing merchants with information they can use to be more successful in their businesses. The Public Relations Society of America also awarded Modern Money a Bronze Anvil Certificate of Commendation, based on the publication's content, creativity, quality of production, technical excellence, and appropriateness for the audience.

Print magazine also recently awarded point b the honor of outstanding logo design work. The point b stationary package will be included in the magazine's 1998 "Regional Design Annual" to be released this year, and will be featured on the magazine's web site. Created by Designers Irene Yan, Paula Bickford, and Montse Cottingham, point b's logo incorporates three circles which together represent a constantly shifting destination, indicative of the firm's clients' changing needs and target audiences.

Other excitement at point b includes the addition of Amy Pearson as an Assistant Account Executive. Pearson will provide marketing strategy and client support to companies such as Chase Merchant Services, Simmons, and Georgia Power. A recent graduate of the University of Mississippi, with a degree in marketing, Pearson previously held an internship with Atlanta advertising agency Cowan & Joseph, where she assisted with accounts including Beacon Eye Institute, Macro Technologies, and VISX.
