CheckFree Comedy CheckFree Comedy Can a simple video get a group of bankers standing and cheering at a business meeting? A boy meets girl spoof filled with double entendres turned into a laugh fest at the Retail Banking Conference hosted by CheckFree Corporation. Burst Entertainment Director Fran Burst-Terranella joined forces with Atlanta Screenwriter Bruce Miller of Miller Multi-Media to turn the business of on-line banking into a 50's style doo-wop theatrical piece.
The success of the first video led to a second CheckFree assignment for the company's National Sales Meeting in July. Creating a theatrical comedy about a big movie production, Burst and Miller had the company's entire executive leadership audition as famous and typecast film characters including Bogart to Schwarzenegger. The capper was CEO Pete Kight in a prison jumpsuit delivering Kevin Spacey's cryptic lines from "Seven." "I'm setting the example and what I've done is going to be puzzled over...and studied...and followed...forever."
Cast and crew of the two projects included Actors Del Hamilton and Faye Allen of Atlanta's Seven Stages Theatre, Jim Issa and Anna Vocino of Whole World Improv Theatre, Production Manager Carol Appleby, Director of Photography Jack Frost, III, Sound Recordist Matt Sisson, and Script Supervisor Samantha Young.
