Big Mouth Takes On Multiple Projects Big Mouth Takes On Multiple Projects Ogilvy & Mather's Cathy Weber recently worked with NASCAR sweepstakes. Directed by Oasis Films' Jeff Smith, the Charlotte Motor Speedway shoot featured NASCAR stars and lots of green screened game pieces. Big Mouth Post FLINT/FLAME Artist Dave Sarbell used extensive compositing and motion tracking to create the effects, which include shots of NASCAR drivers in their cars composited onto sweepstakes game cards. Sarbell then transformed the flat 2D car on the game card into a 3D car. Offñline editing was done in AVID by Big Mouth Editor Dave Clair and Freelance Editor Tim Parks.
Big Mouth also added effects to three Athlete's Foot spots, "Suburban," "Urban," and "Back-to-School," for Blue Marble Media. Blue Marble concepted, wrote, produced, directed, and filmed the spots; Guillotine Post edited; and Big Mouth stepped up to create the visual effects, which included motion blurring and text treatments. Baltimore's Prime Retail returned to Atlanta and Big Mouth to post two back-to-school shopping mall spots, "Runway-Fall" and "Muffy & Buffy." Next Wave, Inc. filmed "Runway-Fall." Big Mouth posted "Muffy & Buffy" using AVID off-line and FLINT for conforming to D1-like quality. Using existing footage from the "Runway-Fall" spot, the shots were re-composited and numerous tags, for more than 30 malls, were created in FLINT by Sarbell and Stephen Cocks. Graphic Designer Jim Husted and Cocks created groovy "Brady Bunch-like" backgrounds and text treatments for the spot's open. Big Mouth Partner/Composer John Lambert handled voiceover and mixed and mastered the soundtrack.
Big Mouth Post also recently completed a Bell Atlantic Mobile spot for Jacksonville's Kohl Pictures and Greenville's Erwin-Penland Advertising. AVID Editor Jimmy Milans completed the off-line. At that point, Cocks created FLINT effects and conformed the piece. Cocks along with Husted provided graphic logo treatments. Lambert, mixed and mastered the soundtrack.
