Adair-Greene Drives Motor Sports Promo Adair-Greene Drives Motor Sports Promo Adair-Greene Marketing Communications created an innovative sales promotion program involving Atlanta Motor Speedway's Winston Cup event and the Roush Racing Team. Thomas & Betts, a major electrical component manufacturing company, hired Adair-Greene for the sports marketing project. The promotion is centered on a merchandising program with Roush Racing plus a VIP trip sweepstakes to the NAPA 500. Newly appointed Adair-Greene President Tony Hobson created the promotion, allowing Thomas & Betts to merchandise the Roush Winston Cup cars and their likeness. The campaign will also feature show car appearances at Thomas & Betts distributors. The campaign already has generated national sales increases.
Hobson, who joined Adair-Greene six months ago, is a well known player in the world of sales promotion and corporate sponsorship programs. Hobson then formed Charles Preston Hayes & Company, a strategic marketing consulting firm. While there, he created programs surrounding the 1996 Olympic Games for several clients including the Georgia Department of Industry Trade and Tourism and the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau.
