Sounds Like A Bair Sounds Like A Bair Bair Tracks sweetened and mixed the trailer and promos for "Dollar for the Dead," a TNT original movie. "Dollar for the Dead" is a pumped-up ë90s style spaghetti western staring Emilio Estevez, William Forsythe, and Howie Long which premiered on TNT in October. The audio for the trailer features a deft blend of treated organic sound effects with carefully chosen music selections to achieve a compelling and powerful soundtrack using only natural sounds. Pitch shifted animal sounds and metallic scrapes and hits were layered with intense movement sounds. Ed Bair used Sonic Search Sound Effects' on-line DAW loader in conjunction with Pro Tools Audio Suite plug-ins to quickly audition, load and then pitch shift and time stretch massive numbers of sound effects. Mixing and layering was then completed in Pro Tools with Waves, TC Electronic and FocusRite plug-ins.
Bair Tracks also was busy posting promos for "ER" on TNT. To create a sound track that would compliment the spots, Bair loaded an array of hospital and medical sounds into his 32 track Pro Tools system. These sounds were then used as raw material, and processed, time stretched, pitch shifted and layered to create elements which would compliment the dynamic graphics and evoke the atmosphere and intensity of the emergency room. Bair combined layered and processed sound elements with the "ER" theme music.
