Honors And Hires At Duffey Honors And Hires At Duffey Eric J. Tanenblatt, Vice President of Duffey Communications, was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for the Georgia Wilderness Institutes, a non-profit youth development organization headquartered in Atlanta. Tanenblatt, who was named to Georgia Trend magazine's "Forty Under 40" list of 1997's Rising Stars in Georgia Business, Politics, and Academics, serves as director of all account service and client relations at Duffey. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Good Government for Georgia Committee, the Board of Directors for both the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and Trees Atlanta, and he is a member of the American Association of Political Consultants. A graduate of both Emory and Georgetown University's Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems, Tanenblatt started with Duffey Communications after distinguishing himself in the overall management and communications for U.S. Senator Paul Coverdell.

Duffey added Kate Freeman, Tripp Lovett, and Kristen Smith to its extensive 12-week internship program. Freeman assists in the public affairs and environmental and natural resources practice areas. Freeman adds Duffey Communications to her prior internship experiences, which include the corporate communications departments of both Savannah Electric and Power Company in Savannah and The Coca-Cola Company's corporate headquarters in Atlanta. Lovett works in Duffey's marketing department, assisting the agency in public relations, community relations, and new business development initiatives. Lovett is a recent graduate of the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Georgia where he obtained a Master of Mass Communication and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Smith brings to Duffey public relations experience from internships with Rossman Martin & Associates in Lansing, MI and from Creative Marketing Alliance in Princeton Junction, NJ. She assists Duffey's technology practice group. Interns at Duffey gain hands on experience, assisting in a wide variety of public relations and marketing communications activities, including participating in creative sessions, writing press releases, and conducting research for clients and the agency.
