Sawyer Riley Compton Conquers Creativity Sawyer Riley Compton Conquers Creativity Sawyer Riley Compton (SRC) strengthened its creative and production departments by hiring a new Copywriter, John Spalding, and promoting another Copywriter, Brett Compton, to a senior position. SRC also hired Kevin Thoem as an Art Director, and Stacey Coker as Traffic Manager.
Prior to joining SRC, Spalding was a Copywriter at FletcherMartin Associates, working on the Atlanta Thrashers professional hockey team and CNN NewsSource accounts. His work for CNN NewsSource recently was honored at this year's One Show. In his new position, Spalding will work on the Mitsubishi Wireless, Eaton Automotive, and Pony Express Delivery Services accounts.
Compton has been with SRC's creative department for six years, working on the James Hardie Building Products, Eaton Automotive, Pony Express Delivery Services, and Wear-DatedĘ upholstery accounts. In his new position, Compton will continue working on these accounts, supervise the agency's copy staff, and assist in the creative development for new business pitches.
Having freelanced for SRC for three months on numerous accounts, Thoem recently was hired as a full time staff member. Thoem will work on the agency's Pony Express Delivery Services, Eaton Automotive, and James Hardie Building Products accounts, as well as assist in the creative development for new business pitches.
In her 10 years of traffic management experience, Coker has worked in the Atlanta offices of Folio Z and Management Science America, Inc., and at FISI-Madison Financial in Nashville, TN. As Traffic Manager, Coker is responsible for scheduling SRC's advertising workflow through the agency.
SRC also has recently completed a new ad campaign highlighting Pony Express Delivery Services, Inc.'s heritage in ads touting the delivery company's tradition of trustworthiness, reliability, and flexibility. Running in a variety of trade publications, the ads are targeted at industry leaders who depend on reliable delivery services. The copy reinforces Pony Express' ability to customize its services to any company's need, provide superior quality and do "whatever it takes to serve you better." Cleveland also developed a thought provoking campaign created for the Citizens United for Alternatives to the Death Penalty. The pro bono campaign is intended to aggressively address the perceived inconsistencies within this country's capital punishment process. Cleveland and Cathy Carlisi, Copywriter for this campaign, constructed four posters to support the message.
The Ritz-Carlton Company, L.L.C. chose SRC as its new advertising, creative, and strategic partner. SRC will develop and execute creative campaigns for the twenty-three Ritz-Carlton hotels and resorts in North America and handle all of the company's corporate advertising. The agency also will coordinate worldwide advertising activities with The Ritz-Carlton advertising agencies in Asia, Europe/Middle East, Australia, and the Caribbean.
